Abstract (English) |
In the field of the data storage, Error correcting codes of an array-error model (array-error correcting codes) are studied. Sindorenko et.al proposed the GMD decoder that is one of the soft decision decoders of the array-error corecting codes and uses the bounded distance decoder for rank-metric to search the codeword that minimize the generalized distance from the recieved word. However, this decoder is not the most likelihood decoder because of the exit conditions of searching. On the other hand, Kaneko et.al proposed the decoder that is one of the soft decision decoders over the AWGN channel and uses the bounded distance decoder for Hamming-metric to search approximately the most likelihood codeword. This decoder is proved to be most likelihood decoder. In this paper, we propose approximately the most likelihood decoder that is one of the soft decision decoders of the array-error corecting codes, applied Kaneko's decoder. |
